Introducing Team 3 of the 2025 songSLAM ✨

Tabes Bridges is a Chicago-based composer and baritone whose music takes listeners on fantastic journeys of harmony, language, and color. A longtime choral singer, Tabes is obsessed with the interplay between words and music, and his long-term artistic goals include 1) pushing the limits of textual sources in vocal music, and 2) expanding the boundaries of text setting as a technique for creating instrumental music. He studied composition and voice (as well as mathematics) at Columbia University, and has performed with a number of Chicago-area ensembles over the last 8 years.

Ryan Frenk, tenor, is a versatile performer and voice teacher based in the Chicagoland area. Praised by the Houston Chronicle for a voice that is “clear, sweet, and cutting all at once,” Ryan is known for his musical sensitivity, expressive storytelling, and dynamic stage presence. He performs widely across opera, concert, and choral settings, and is a member of the Chicago Symphony Chorus.

An active participant in the Chicago music scene for almost 15 years, Sarah Jenks is a frequent recitalist and sought-after collaborator across a variety of vocal and instrumental settings. She serves as the pianist/organist at First United Methodist Church of La Grange, and staff pianist at Moody Bible Institute.
In addition to performing, she maintains an active private teaching studio with her husband. Balancing a full musical life with a vibrant home life, Sarah is also the proud parent of three energetic children who keep the tempo lively at all times.
