What began as an early experience with JA has grown into a journey of leadership, service, and impact for Karthik.

From early financial literacy concepts to serving as a JA High School Heroes volunteer, Karthik’s educational journey reflects continuous learning and was most recently recognized last month with the Henry Crown Scholarship—highlighting the impact of investing in students early.

Now a JA alumnus, we are thrilled to celebrate him as he enters his next chapter and heads off to college.

With your support, we can continue creating these opportunities for more students across Chicagoland—helping them build confidence, strengthen their skills, and prepare for what’s next.

Join us on our journey to inspire 400K Futures before June 30. Just $20 allows one student to participate in JA programs and begin exploring their future. https://bit.ly/400KFutures_JAofChicago

It's been an exciting year at JA!

Take a journey through the school year and discover what students across Chicagoland have accomplished.

Our students have spent this school year preparing for their futures. With every JA program and every volunteer who stepped into their classroom to guide and inspire them, they have been learning, growing, and building confidence along the way.

These experiences are more than moments in a classroom—they are building blocks of a future each student is beginning to imagine.

Help us provide 1,000 students with the same opportunity before June 30 and bring us closer to inspiring 400,000 student futures this school year.

Last month, we celebrated an incredible group of JA students at our Scholarship Luncheon and Board Meeting at the Union League Club of Chicago.

Joined by parents, educators, board members, and supporters, these students were honored for their academic achievements, commitment to excellence, and determination to succeed. We were proud to award more than $290,000 in scholarships to 22 students and celebrate young people on their way toward bright futures.

We also recognized our JA competition winners for their outstanding work and innovative ideas. Together, these students represent the talent, determination, and potential that will shape our communities for years to come, and we look forward to all they will achieve.

Special thanks to our scholarship providers—Crown Family Philanthropies, PwC, and Experian—and to the many supporters whose generosity makes these scholarships possible. We also thank our competition supporters RSM, Zurich, Loop Capital, UIC, Capgemini, Deloitte, Accenture, Ulta Beauty, and Chuck Norton. Your support opens doors for students to pursue higher education, explore career pathways, and build successful futures.

Our inaugural Battle of the Bites brought students together for an unforgettable culinary competition!🍽️

Last week, five high school culinary teams took the kitchen by storm, bringing their creativity, teamwork, and flavors to life after weeks of preparation through JA’s Company Pop-Up Program. From concept to creation, these students built a plan, developed recipes, and showed up ready to compete.

A huge thank you to Kendall College for hosting us and running an incredible competition, to our judges for their thoughtful feedback and scoring, to our generous sponsors who helped make it all possible, including donating food for the competition, and to everyone who came out to cheer on the teams. And of course, thank you to our students and educators from Dunbar Career Academy, North-Grand High School, Prosser Career Academy, Richards Career Academy, and Southside Occupational Academy. We were beyond impressed by what you created.

Congratulations to North-Grand High School for winning the Battle of the Bites!

Events like this go beyond the kitchen. They give students the chance to build confidence, explore career pathways, and turn their passions into successful futures.
