This summer has been an exciting adventure for our members as they immerse themselves in hands-on science experiments, engineering projects, and creative problem-solving through the inspiring Evans Stergianis Summer STEM Program!

Evans Stergianis, who was the late father of our President & CEO, Susanna Wickham, truly believed in the transformative power of education. Thanks to a thoughtful gift made in his memory, his legacy is alive and well, motivating our Club members across Chicago to become the innovative thinkers of tomorrow.

We want to extend a warm thank you to Nan and Wayne Kocourek for honoring Evans's legacy. Your support is making a real difference, keeping our members engaged in learning while boosting their confidence to tackle challenges, think outside the box, and explore exciting new possibilities through STEM. It is a truly fitting tribute to what mattered to him the most. What a gift!

Exciting times for Terriah and Brooklynn Lake as they head to their very first Chicago Sky game! 🏀💙

Thanks to Foley & Lardner LLP , 50 amazing kids from the James R. Jordan Club on the Near West Side had the chance to cheer for the Chicago Sky. Witnessing women’s sports in action truly inspires them to believe that anything is achievable and the sky is the limit!

For the past five years, Foley & Lardner has been a steadfast partner of BGCA, creating incredible experiences for our youth. A huge shoutout to the Chicago Sky for being such motivating role models for our Club kids on and off court, and to Foley & Lardner for helping make these unforgettable moments a reality!

We believe every Club kid deserves the chance to see what’s possible and that’s why we started our Entrepreneur Club.

High school students ages 15-18 from the James R. Jordan Boys & Girls Club on the West Side took their very first field trip to The Forge, where Co-Founder and CEO Jeremie Bacon shared his journey of building a business and gave them a real look at what entrepreneurship takes.

For Jayden, who plans to major in business, this experience was an opportunity to learn from someone who turned an idea into reality and imagine what’s possible for his own future.

This is just the beginning. We’re looking for local business leaders and entrepreneurs who want to host a visit and help inspire the next generation of leaders.

Our CC’s Little Village Club had a wonderful day at a recent field trip to the bowling alley! The day was made even more special as we celebrated Gia’s birthday with her friends on the lanes. Since bowling is Gia’s favorite sport, there was no better way for her to spend her memorable day than by being surrounded by her favorite people and making memories together.

From the West Side to the amazing wonders of the ocean!

Our incredible James R. Jordan Boys & Girls Club kids had a fantastic day at the Shedd Aquarium, with Kenziah leading the way as our enthusiastic tour guide. Her excitement was contagious, especially for her favorite exhibit, the Polar Play Zone!

Thank you to the Shedd Aquarium for warmly welcoming our Club kids and providing them with a delightful day packed with fun and learning. We are already looking forward to our next visit!
