We’re making waves for literacy, and we’re grateful to have Greenberg Traurig helping us do it! 🌊📚

As a Diamond Sponsor of Pangea’s 2026 Making Waves Gala, Greenberg Traurig's support is helping make this year’s celebration possible while extending the impact beyond the gala—bringing more books, reading opportunities, and support to young learners in Uganda.

Teaching is a profession of constant learning.

Every day, teachers make decisions that may never appear in a lesson plan.

They notice when a child is struggling. They try a different approach. They adjust, ask questions, learn from another teacher, and return to the classroom ready to try again.

That work matters.

Teacher development is more than attending a training. It is about having opportunities to practise new approaches, reflect on classroom experiences, learn from one another, and continue strengthening the way we teach.

When teachers have the support to keep learning, they create better opportunities for learners to read, participate, and grow.

Today, we celebrate teachers everywhere who keep learning so their learners can keep learning too.

Happy World Teachers’ Day to every teacher who teaches, learns, adapts, and keeps going.

We are equipping teachers to carry literacy instruction forward.

In Luwero, literacy instruction is moving from one teacher to another.

Our lead Mentor works with teachers and other mentors to strengthen literacy instruction in their schools. Together, they share approaches, reflect on classroom practice, and support one another to apply new teaching practices.

This creates a support system that keeps learning going beyond a single training session.

Teachers can continue practising, asking questions, and strengthening their classroom practice without waiting for the Pangea team to return. Every teacher who strengthens their literacy practice has the opportunity to help more children become confident readers.

Through our collaboration with a Bridge to Uganda, we are strengthening a network that can sustain literacy instruction within the community.

When the support stays, the learning can keep reaching children.

We are grateful to the teachers and mentors who continue to learn, share, and support one another, and to Building a Bridge to Uganda for helping us build this model of local ownership.
