2007-2017

Shabak AZA had one volunteer advisor (Kevin Friduss) when it finished its tenure within BBYO. He was a volunteer who committed to helping BBYO members, and Shabak, reach their full potential. BBYO empowered Kevin to work in partnership with professional staff to supervise and guide AZA and BBG chapters. He served as a positive Jewish role model by sharing observations with the youth, exploring cha

llenges and seeking solutions with (not for) the teens, and encouraging BBYO members to strive for excellence. He was there to support and advise, while it is the teens who led the chapters and were ultimately responsible for chapter programming with their peers. Under the guidance of advisor leadership, Shabak teens had the opportunity to grow into dynamic, engaged young Jewish leaders.
