LET’S SET A WORLD RECORD FOR THE KIDS!
The 15th District is bringing the community together for our Austin Community Trunk or Treat, and this year, we have an ambitious goal: to set a Guinness World Records™ record for the most trunks in one location.
But this isn't really about a record.
It's about the kids.
It's about giving our young people a safe place to celebrate, have fun, make memories, and see their community come together for them.
We are asking businesses, organizations, schools, churches, community groups, and individuals to join us by decorating a vehicle and becoming part of this historic event.
Imagine our youth looking out and seeing hundreds of businesses, organizations, police officers, community leaders, and neighbors all coming together for one reason — THEM.
Every trunk will represent someone who decided to show up for our kids.
Every decorated vehicle will help create a safe space.
And every person who participates will help send our youth a powerful message:
“You matter. Your community cares about you. And we are here for you.”
Let's come together and show our children what is possible when a community works as one.

📣 We’re hiring at CACC! 📣

We're looking for two (2) Dispatch Clerks to join our team... doubling the size of our current dispatch team!

Our two current dispatchers handle up to 40,000 service requests each year, from stray animals and wildlife calls to emergency situations. They prioritize urgent situations and dispatch Animal Control Officers across Chicago.

Thanks to additional funding in 2026, we’re expanding the team to provide additional support for dispatch operations and help answer incoming calls from the public for general CACC information and assistance.

What will you do as a Dispatch Clerk?

📞 Answer incoming calls and provide information and assistance with general CACC inquiries

🚨 Prioritize animal control service requests and relay information to Animal Control Officers in the field

💻 Monitor field units and update service requests to help keep daily field operations running smoothly

Presented by Bridgeport Artist Community at Agitator Gallery

Bridgeport Artist Community presents Slice of Life at Agitator Gallery, an exhibition centered on how artists interpret life through personal experience.

The exhibition is rooted in the premise that ordinary life is neither ordinary nor universal. Each work becomes a personal account of how life is observed, remembered, or understood.

The title draws from the tradition of “slice of life” imagery without requiring literal scenes of daily activity. Artists may work figuratively or abstractly. The connection to the theme lies in the artist’s interpretation rather than a prescribed subject.

Taken together, the works form an uneven portrait of contemporary life. Agreement is not required. Contradiction is part of the exhibition.

All visual media will be considered. Three dimensional work is permitted, although sculpture must be able to be positioned near the gallery walls, in the front window wells, or on available plinths so that the central gallery space remains accessible for Agitator programming.

The work may be literal or abstract. What matters is the perspective behind it. Such as how a moment, memory, place, relationship, or ordinary experience takes on meaning through the artist’s point of view.

Exhibition Dates: November 6–28, 2026
Opening Reception: Friday, November 6
