Headed to the Air and Water Show this weekend? Skip the stress, get there with GEICO and Millennium Garages!

After a one-year hiatus, GEICO is bringing back the shuttle service that thousands of Air and Water Show attendees rely on to travel from downtown to one of Chicago's biggest summer traditions.

The complimentary GEICO Shuttle will operate throughout the weekend, transporting guests from Millennium Garages' 6 South Columbus Drive location directly to North Avenue Beach, where spectators gather to watch the show.

With no public parking at North Avenue Beach during the show, the GEICO Shuttle lets you skip the parking stress and enjoy one of Chicago’s favorite summer weekends.

Shuttle Details:

📍 Route: Millennium Garages (6 S. Columbus Drive) to North Avenue Beach

⌚ When: Saturday August, 15 - Sunday August 16

🚌 Service: From 9 a.m. - 6 p.m. and runs every 20 minutes

The people doing some of the most important work in our communities don’t always have access to the funding that can take their impact even further. 💼🖤

The T.D. Jakes Foundation is looking to help change that with $1.5 million in funding through its Social Challenge Grant, now open to the public. Eligible 501(c)(3) nonprofits working across financial inclusion, workforce readiness, educational access, community transformation, and well-being can apply for support to expand their reach.

“We understand that some funds are drying up, and it's a strain on the people who are giving,” Kelley Cornish, president and CEO of the T.D. Jakes Foundation tells EBONY. “We are looking for nonprofits that have some of the focus areas that we have, and then we're looking to fund them, to help with their reach and impact.”

Applications are open through August 23, and finalists will head to the T7 Summit in Atlanta this November to make their case for funding.
