At Women in Public Finance’s 30th Annual Conference, 63 leaders in public finance gathered to assemble 200 breast cancer care kits for people in our communities affected by breast cancer.

At YWCA Metropolitan Chicago, we believe every parent is their child’s first and strongest protector. 🧡

Our Strong Families Chicago team celebrated the graduation of 10 participants from our Heart to Heart program at our Parks Francis Center.

Heart to Heart is a prevention and education program designed to help parents strengthen their parenting, communication, and relationship skills while learning how to recognize, prevent, and respond to child sexual abuse. The program celebrates the power of a loving parent-child bond and reinforces each parent’s ability to nurture, protect, and advocate for their children.

Our Health Promotion and Navigation Services team is still feeling the love from its annual No One Fights Alone Cancer Memorial event 🎀

Community members gathered at the Patricia A. Jones Center in Waukegan to wrap their arms around brave women fighting breast cancer, honor the memory of those who lost their battle, and remind every woman that she is not alone.

Illinois State Senator for the 30th District, Senator Adriane Johnson, joined us for the evening and provided remarks and support. A huge thank you goes to our speaker, Susan Richter, Director of Community Clinical Outpatient Services at City of Hope, for providing a vital presentation on breast cancer awareness and resources.
