United in Faith Lutheran Church A Place of Faith in the City. We are a welcoming and affirming congregation! United in Faith is a urban congregation on the northwest side of Chicago.

Our doors are open so that we can walk out to do God's Mission and so that all may participate in that work. United in Faith openly welcomes and values every person who walks through our doors, regardless of race, nationality and ethnic origin, age, gender, sexual orientation and gender identity, marital status, social and economic situation, ability, cultural reality, and need. Further, United in Faith supports efforts to share with all: God's gifts of love, acceptance, and grace; invites all people, uniquely created by God, to experience the word of God, communion, and promise of the risen Christ; and encourages all people to participate fully in the ministries of this congregation, which are based on its core values. Join St. Cyprian's Food Pantry at the River Park Moose Lodge (8601 Fullerton, River Grove) on Sunday, October 11 from 1-4 PM for a fundraiser including food, raffles, and split the pot! This event is free to attend, and all proceeds benefit the food pantry, which feeds many of our neighbors!

September is Su***de Prevention Awareness Month. For LGBTQ+ people, this is real life, not a statistic on a page.

The Trevor Project's research is clear: LGBTQ+ young people are not inherently at higher risk because of who they are. They're placed at higher risk by rejection, stigma, and the absence of affirming spaces. The same research shows the opposite is just as true — where affirmation exists, so does life.

That's the work RMN exists to do. Every congregation that chooses to see LGBTQ+ people as sacred, as fully made in the image of God — every leader who says "you belong here" and means it — is doing holy work.
