Be The Match Wright College Be The Match is a nonprofit organization that has the largest marrow registry in the world. Signing up to be a donor and becoming a match can save a life.

Be The Match Wright College is to raise awareness on being a blood stem cell donor with the hope that we can grow the registration database with people of all ethnicities. Everyday the registry is finding matches that are saving lives of those struggling with life threatening blood diseases and cancer. 70% of patients who are in need of a donor will not find the donor through their family, which

is why registering to be a donor is so crucial. People of all ages, all ethnicities are in need of a donor. When you register to be a donor for Be The Match, a swab kit will be sent to you. Simply swab the inside of your mouth and send the box back. Your name and blood type will go into Be The Match registry and you wait, sometimes a very long time, sometimes very soon, hopefully though there's someone out there looking for you! Ethnic communities have a more challenging time finding a match. Spread the word to family and friends to register to be a donor. Registration is FREE and painless. Be the Match will send you a swab kit to swab your inside cheek. You mail it back to Be the Match and your info gets entered in the registry as you wait for a match to be found.

Encourage family and friends to Give the Gift of Life this Holiday Season!

Eight-year-old Alfredo Diaz, from Humboldt Park, Chicago, spent the first three years of his life in and out of the hospital while doctors tried to determine what was causing his failure to thrive and major gastro-intestinal issues. He was finally diagnosed with IL-10 Reception Deficiency, a disorder so rare that there are only 34 cases in the world.

Alfredo’s only hope for a cure is a blood stem cell transplant from a compatible donor. He currently does not have any matches in his family or on the registry. His immune system is working overtime attacking everything in his body, causing him to struggle with quality of life. He is on immuno-suppressant medication to try to help with this. Yet despite all his suffering, his spirit and passion for life make him a true miracle.

Hispanic patients only have a 46% chance of finding a match. You can change those odds.

Register- and we will send you a swab kit, simply swab your cheek for some DNA and send it back to us in a prepaid envelope. Your DNA information goes into our registry and you just wait.... sometimes weeks, months or years for a match that's looking for you.
