This morning, we celebrated the Rowe Elementary Class of 2026 as they crossed the stage and marked the end of their elementary school journey.

It was a morning filled with smiles, proud families, and plenty of excitement for what comes next. We are incredibly proud of all that these students have accomplished and the resilience, leadership, and determination they have shown along the way.

Our Rockets are ready for their next launch. As they head off to high school, we know they will continue to soar and make their mark on the world.

Congratulations, Rowe graduates!

A big thank you to 1st Ward Alderman Daniel La Spata for visiting Rowe Elementary this morning and spending time with our students!

Earlier this year, our 8th graders wrote letters to their alderpeople about issues they see in their communities and the changes they hope to make. Today, those lessons in civic engagement came to life as students had the opportunity to share their ideas, ask questions, and see firsthand that their voices matter.

We are grateful to Alderman La Spata for taking the time to listen, engage, and demonstrate that community leadership begins with participation. Experiences like this help our students understand that they have the power to advocate for their neighborhoods, influence change, and become the leaders of tomorrow.

Last week, we were thrilled to welcome EL Da’ Sheon Nix, Director of Evanston Community Relations & Neighborhood and Community Relations at Northwestern University, to visit our Early Childhood Education Project LEAP Cafecito and classrooms! Our ECE students were especially excited to share their learning, creativity, and joy throughout the visit.

We are deeply grateful to the ANCHOR Grants program for supporting Project LEAP, which expands family engagement and early learning opportunities for children and caregivers through bilingual programming, connection, and community-building. πŸ‘πŸΌπŸ’™
