On July 17, our young people joined hundreds of peers across Chicago at McDonald's Youth Day 2026, hosted at McDonald's Headquarters. The full-day program brought together youth from 15 organizations for career exploration, professional development, and networking with McDonald's leaders and community professionals.

Throughout the day, participants attended career-focused sessions, heard from professionals sharing their own pathways, and connected with peers and mentors working across different industries.

We're grateful to McDonald's for creating this space for young people to learn, build their networks, and envision their next steps.

Mock interviews are a part of the Workforce Development Program curriculum that clients and LCN staff both look forward to. It allows team members from different departments to connect with youth and hear their interests, while sharing some tips on how to navigate interviews.

We love seeing their confidence shine through. This time, many of them expressed interest in nursing, early education, and general contracting. Next up, mock interviews with our Next Generation Board!
