If you’ve visited Sana Healing Collective recently, you may have noticed some extraordinary new artwork throughout our space.

We’re deeply grateful to visionary Chicago artist Bruce Riley Bruce Riley for loaning us five original works that have transformed our office with color, movement, and wonder. His paintings invite curiosity, reflection, and expansiveness—qualities we hope everyone who walks through our doors can experience.

Bruce’s signature process combines layers of pigments, solvents, binders, and resin to create mesmerizing abstract compositions that seem to shift and come alive depending on the light and the angle from which they’re viewed. Each encounter reveals something new.

✨ All five original works are available for purchase. If one speaks to you, let us know, and we’d be happy to connect you.

We’ll be sharing Bruce’s own descriptions of each piece in the captions so you can learn more about the inspiration behind them.

Thank you, Bruce, for helping us create a space where art, healing, and community come together. 💛

“The painting Snake Bit / Ouroboric Egg Machine plays with the symbol of the snake devouring its own tail generally thought to represent eternity or the cycle of death and birth.

In the painting a central feminine figure is surrounded with wiggly phallus shapes that also resemble organelle used by micro-organisms for movement. An abundance of ph***ic masculine shapes also references s***m to egg ratios found in nature. The feminine figure has a tail in its mouth with three growths sprouting from the top of its head. The number 3 has a rich human history on so many different levels. The growths also suggest the parasitic zombie fungus that infects insects.
As with all my painting engagement and visual exploration is the point. There is no single meaning to be understood. The painting is meant to be interactive with the viewer bringing her unique life experiences to inform and expand a personal relationship with my art.”

“The painting Navigator masses organic shapes in the center of a square format. It has the vague sense of a portrait with a third eye surrounded by cells or planets or eggs that are moving outward. T

🌱 Five years ago, Sana Healing Collective planted a seed.🌱

We believed that psychedelic-assisted therapy, Harm Reduction, and holistic mental health care should be accessible and not only reserved for those with wealth or privilege.

Today, that seed has grown into a thriving community of clinicians, clients, artists, educators, and supporters who believe that Community is Medicine.

As we celebrate our fifth anniversary, we’re launching our Rooted in Community Sponsorship Campaign.

Our goal is to raise $50,000 to strengthen our Community Care Fund, helping remove financial barriers to care while supporting community education, clinician training, and healing opportunities for those most impacted by systemic inequities. This reflects the campaign’s central purpose of expanding access to care through the Community Care Fund and community-rooted programming.

Whether you’re an individual, a small business, or a larger organization, we’d be honored to have you grow alongside us.

Because healing doesn’t happen alone.

It happens in community.

⚡️Join our co-founder and Director, Vilmarie Fraguada Narloch, PsyD at The Den Theatre The Den Theater for a chat about psychedelics on Friday, August 7th! ⚡️

The lights are low, your drink is cold, and someone who actually knows what they’re talking about explains what psychedelics actually do inside your brain.

This event produced by Fever US covers psilocybin as a potential treatment for depression and MDMA’s documented effects on PTSD — grounded strictly in current peer-reviewed clinical research, without moralizing, jargon, or judgment.

It’s the science of psychedelics, explained clearly — no jargon, no judgment, just cold drinks in hand.

Two showtimes:
Friday, August 7th at 6:00 pm and 8:30 pm

💻Live Webinar July 14th!💻

Supporting Your Clients During Ketamine Treatment, presented by our co-founder, Geoff Bathje!

Ketamine prescriptions for mental health applications have increased dramatically in the past few years, including for at-home use. Most prescribed ketamine is used outside of psychotherapy contexts. Attendees will learn about different routes of administration, the effects of different dose levels, how set and setting impact the ketamine experience, and related recognition and minimizations of risks associated with these factors.

The presenter will draw from his decade of experience supporting clients who are undergoing various forms of ketamine treatment. This will include a focus on preparation, establishment of adequate support and container, and integration. We will also focus on assessing the readiness of clients for ketamine treatments, which varies based on the context in which it is used.

Presented by Geoff Bathje, PhD
