We’re pausing from our regularly scheduled programming for a Jason Brammer appreciation post. 🙏❤️

For those of you who don’t know, is a renowned artist that graciously allowed us to film in his incredible studio to help .maria spread autism awareness. 🧩

He even assisted with the hairdryer to help Maria have her moment, pictured above. 😂

To step into his studio is like stepping into an alternate reality that’s more beautiful and colorful than ever imaginable…🌈

If you’re from Chicago, you’ve likely seen Jason’s breathtaking murals of an octopus or sea life adorning buildings that are stories high, including ! 🐙

The reach of Jason’s work extends beyond Chicago, being displayed throughout the country. Like this beautiful jungle themed mural pictured above in Denver, CO. 🏔️

In addition to murals and paintings, he’s painted drum sets for artists like the and has his own line of custom painted “Star Coats,” like the coats Maria is pictured in above. 🧥

While we were filming, he was painting a stunning portal inspired work of art, also pictured above. 🖼️

THANK YOU Jason, not only for helping Maria spread autism awareness, but for all that you do to make this world more vibrant and beautiful for us all to enjoy! 🫶🏼

When Maria Rosner’s son was diagnosed with autism at age 4, he was nonverbal. She was told he was moderately autistic and moderately re****ed. Though it was an uphill battle, this early diagnosis allowed for her advocate for her son Dylan to get him into the right programs that helped him reach his full potential today. 💫

Maria can attest to the importance of early autism screening firsthand:

“If not for a kind and helpful speech therapist who offered to try Lovaas ABA therapy with my son, Dylan may never have regained his ability to communicate with the outside world. If not for organizations like Autism Speaks, I might never have heard of other alternate therapies, like nutrition and vision therapy, that ultimately helped my son to achieve his full potential.”

, now 34, has lived independently on the West Coast since receiving his college degree. He currently lives in Las Vegas where he continues to defy expectations and predicted outcomes.🙌

He recently started his own networking business, , who mission is to bring current and potential small business owners together in community. Help support Dylan by giving them a follow! 👍

Stay tuned for the early signs of autism in children to ensure you give your child every opportunity to reach their fullest potential.✨

Maria has dedicated her Sonic Flow Yoga Class in collaboration with DJ Josh Young (aka and cofounder of Flosstradamus) to Autism Speaks to help them spread awareness about ASD and fund research to better understand these conditions to help people with autism lead full and fulfilling lives, like Dylan! 🤗

“Parenting a child with autism is challenging. On one hand, you want to honor and promote your child’s unique perspective and personality. On the other hand, you want to help them acquire the skills they need to function and thrive in the neurotypical would.” – GHYC Feature Teacher Maria Rosner💙

Maria’s only vison for her son , who was diagnosed with autism at age 4, was to help him live life on his own terms and to be happy. Thankfully, that vision was realized, but it did not come easily…

After being informed of Dylan’s diagnosis, Maria and Dylan were left to fend for themselves. She spent years fighting: the school system, the medical system, society, even her own family. ❤️‍🩹

She fought the school system to convince them to fund an expensive but promising home-based Individualized Education Program (IEP). It’s a fight she won and ultimately, it helped Dylan regain his language, social, and executive function skills.🎤 💫

Maria’s chosen nonprofit, Autism Speaks, provides a plethora of resources for parents to help get their children get access to services and supports, like the IEP that helped Dylan.✨

03/03/2025

While no one can fix all the problems of the world, what we CAN do is lean into the light and take even the smallest of steps to try to make it just a little bit brighter. ☀️

What can you do within your own life to shine a little light on this world? 🌎

Perhaps the answer is simply to care for yourself. If you’re feeling depleted, you can do the little things to fill yourself back up. 📖 🧘 ☕️

Once you’ve tended to your own heart, one thing that we can all do, is be kind to those around us. 🫶🏼

We’re all going through it in one way or another, and a little smile, kindness, and compassion go a long way to brighten things up. 🌈

To shine your light beyond your sphere, you can take small steps to help others, positive action. Volunteer, write your senator, or simply hold space for those who need support. 💗

At GHYC, we’re here to support yoga teachers who want to take positive action to help nonprofits that are making a difference in this world. 🌻

Keep shining your light friends, whatever that means to you. This world needs it.

We hope 2025 is off to a great start! 💫 Beyond wishing you all an abundance filled new year, we wanted to pop in to let you know, we’re still here! 🤗

When we shifted away from being a nonprofit, we made a commitment to ourselves and our families that we would no longer run this like a machine at the expense of our own well being.

Fewer and bigger gaps between teachers’ features and our posting at times are part of that commitment we made to ourselves for 2025.

We’re also still very committed to showing up 100% for and pouring our hearts into the teachers we do work with and the causes that they choose to support. 🌈❤️

There will just be fewer of them. 🤷‍♀️

That said, we’ve got some amazing teachers and nonprofits coming down the line that we are beyond excited to work with! 😊

We hope that whatever resolutions or commitments that you’ve made to yourself for 2025 are serving you. If not, it’s never too late to recalibrate to make this year, and every day within it, better than the last. 💖

Take care of yourselves, and stay warm, friends. ❤️

With the holidays approaching, we’re going to take some time and space to slowdown, disconnect, and tune in to ourselves and those around us.

We hope that if things start feeling like they’re moving too fast or are becoming hectic as the holidays draw nearer, that you’re able to give yourself a little time and space to do the same. 🙏

Wishing you all a holiday season filled with peace, joy, and love. 🕊️❤️
