HBA CAREER CORNER
Join us on Tuesday, September 15, 2026

Career Corner is a great opportunity for law students and young lawyers to meet with distinguished members of the Hellenic Bar Association in small group settings for an evening of networking, mentoring, and learning practical advice. In attendance will be members from various fields of law, including: large, medium, and small firms, corporation counsel, government (federal and local), solo practitioners, and members of the judiciary. The event will include a cocktail reception with light appetizers and drinks.

CLE: AI IN LEGAL PRACTICE
UNDERSTANDING CLIENT EXPECTATIONS
THURSDAY, SEPTEMBER 10 | 5:30 - 8:30 PM

Join the Serbian Attorney Association, the Armenian Bar Association, the Hellenic Bar Association, and Husch Blackwell for an evening of CLE programming, networking, and conversation focused on one of the most rapidly evolving topics in the legal profession: the use of artificial intelligence in legal services.

This panel discussion will explore AI from the perspective of in-house counsel who engage outside counsel across litigation, transactional, regulatory, and advisory matters, examining client expectations surrounding AI adoption across industries and its implications for outside counsel.

Panelists will share insights on emerging trends, practical considerations, and the opportunities and challenges AI presents in the attorney-client relationship. The program will be followed by a networking reception with complimentary drinks and light appetizers.

HBA WELCOMES NEW DIRECTOR CHRIS THEODOSIS!

Christophilos (“Chris”) Theodosis is Corporate Counsel at G2, where he advises on commercial transactions, technology, privacy, artificial intelligence, and corporate governance matters. Before joining G2, Chris represented corporate clients in commercial litigation, product liability, and intellectual property matters. Notably, he served on the trial team that secured a $4.5 million jury verdict in a defamation case. Chris graduated from Chicago-Kent College of Law in the top 27% of his class. He earned a Certificate in Intellectual Property, Dean’s List honors every semester, and CALI Awards in Trial Advocacy II and Sports Law. During law school, he served as Executive Article Editor of the Chicago-Kent Journal of Intellectual Property and authored scholarship examining the intersection of artificial intelligence and consumer-brand interaction. In his free time, Chris enjoys cheering on the Chicago Bears, Bulls, and Cubs.

HBA WELCOMES NEW DIRECTOR MARIA PALIVOS!

Maria Palivos is an Associate Attorney at Littler Mendelson, P.C. and focuses her practice in employment defense litigation. She represents employers in a broad range of labor and employment matters including discrimination, harassment and retaliation. Additionally, Maria represents employers in wage and hour class and collective actions. Maria has experience in state, federal and appellate courts. Maria was in the top 10% of her class at the Loyola University Chicago School of Law, graduating magna cm laude. During law school, Maria served as a senior articles editor for the Loyola University Chicago School of Law Journal. Maria has served as an intern at the U.S. District Court for the Northern District of Illinois and the Illinois Appellate Court. In her free time, Maria enjoys hanging out with her family and friends and visiting Greece.

HBA WELCOMES NEW OFFICER �DIMITRA KATSIS!

Dimitra Katsis is a Senior Associate Attorney at the Women’s Divorce & Family Law Group by Haid and Teich, LLP. She focuses her practice in all areas of divorce and family law, including the litigation and negotiation of parenting time, child support, maintenance, division of property, complex financial issues, relocation, and orders of protection. Dimitra is proud be an Officer the Hellenic Bar Association and is also a member of the Women’s Bar Association of Illinois, the Chicago Bar Association, and the Hellenic American Leadership Council. Dimitra is also on the School Board for Pythagoras Greek School of Saint John the Baptist Greek Orthodox Church and a volunteer attorney for the Hellenic Legal Assistance Service (Hel.L.A.S).
