Sharing more postcards from the community to the Chicago Public Library Board. Gage Park deserves a bigger, better library!

In June, at our fair for a bigger, better Gage Oark library, we asked community members to write postcards to the Chicago Public Library Board sharing their reasons to need a bigger, better library in the neighborhood. over the next few weeks, we will share those cards # here as they are mailed to the board in anticipation of their September Board meeting.

As we near the end of summer, we will continue to share postcards members of the Gage Park community sent to the Chicago Public Library Commissioner and Board ahead of their September board meeting expressing why a bigger, better library in Gage Park is so essential for our community.

Postcard 2: Please help us in creating a better community and environment for our children by creating and making a pretty and renovated library where kids can learn.

Postcard 3: Dear Chicago Public Library Commissioner: I will like to have a bigger library to read books with my friends and family. Sofia G.

On February 19, leaders of the Gage Park community went canvassing to collect signatures for a bigger and better library that they deserve. 📚

Every signature brought us one step closer to change. Together, we collected more than 2,000 signatures, showing that Gage Park is united in the fight for a bigger, better library for everyone. 💙
