RJ Hubs are a collective that believes transformation is achieved when communities have the resources and capacity to resolve crime and conflict without the use of costly confinement and mass incarceration. We are organizations and partners focused on reducing violence, increasing community organizing, legislative and policy work, and providing legal, educational and economic development support i

n low resource, high-crime neighborhoods throughout Chicago. Our goal here is to build community and offer an online forum built on sharing and trust at a time when our world, nation and neighborhoods are experiencing unprecedented challenges. It’s time to invest in human potential—not in punishment and isolation. Making a contribution. And come back often to learn more about the work of RJ Hubs, upcoming events and trainings, and about the value of restorative justice—a proactive approach to reducing violence and mass incarceration that is directly informed by the latest science on childhood trauma. This is what community-driven development looks like.

Looking forward to seeing The Kenwood Oakland Community Organization Silver Fox Cafe come to life in Bronzeville.

The Neighborhood Capital Fund, established in 2025, will grant approximately $20 million to Chicago organizations through 2027.
