Another Ghanaian-American making an impact in Boston. 🇬🇭

Poet, educator and school librarian Emmanuel Oppong-Yeboah Emmanuel Oppong-Yeboah was appointed Boston’s fourth Poet Laureate, serving a four-year term through 2029.

In the role, Emmanuel is using poetry to create opportunities for young people, connect communities and strengthen Boston’s literary scene.

Dr. Ave Kludze Jr. made history as the first Ghanaian and African to command and control spacecraft in orbit from NASA mission control.

After nearly 30 years at NASA, he retired in 2025, leaving behind a remarkable legacy in aerospace engineering and space exploration.

🇬🇭🇺🇸 COMMUNITY WIN: The first Ghanaian national Catholic parish in the U.S. has been established in Arlington, Texas under the Catholic Diocese of Forth Worth Catholic Diocese of Fort Worth

Saint Matthew Ayariga Catholic Church also becomes the first Catholic parish in the world named in honor of the Ghanaian martyr.
