Our amazing volunteers have been hard at work the last week packing bags of food to distribute to families for spring break!

We are so thankful to every person who donated, volunteered, and share our mission to make sure that families in our schools have access to food during the break next week.

Our Spring Break Food Box program is happening this week! With the goal of feeding 40+ South Charlotte public school students and families, the effort to organize has been nothing short of amazing!

Thanks to our spectacular volunteers for showing up days, nights and weekends. We can do this because of you! ❤️

We did it!

Thanks to the generosity of our donors and the incredible match from Springdale Custom Builders, the Spring Break Fundraiser raised $6,335 for South Charlotte families in need. Grocery gift cards and food boxes are on their way to families through our school counselors next week.

Yesterday the SCLT crew made a run to Hearts United for Good (HUG)! We are so grateful for this organization and our new partnership. HUG is making it possible for us to get real, quality food into the hands of families in our community. This is exactly the kind of community connection that helps us do more for South Charlotte families in need.

With the food they provided and through your donations, we're packing spring break food boxes and gift cards for families in our South CLT schools.

Spring break is almost here — and for a lot of South Charlotte families, that means a week without the school lunch their kids count on during the year.

So inspired after visiting (HUG) on the east side of Charlotte today. Their pantry operation is incredible, and we’re so thankful for the connection and the opportunity to learn from their work.
