Thanks to all who joined us for our last round of Central Avenue cultural tours this year! Shoutout to our friends Tom Hanchett of History South and Carol Sawyer for helping put these together.

Within hours of launching registration, we had 70 interested attendees for 40 spots. Due to this demand, we are intending on making these quarterly events in 2027 with rotating geographic focuses—Albemarle, WT Harris, Sharon Amity, and beyond.

It’s a great Tuesday to get tacos (or gorditas, or sopes, or chapulines, or anything on the menu) from Tacos El Nevado and celebrate Hispanic Heritage Month!

Had a blast celebrating the unveiling of Roy Alonzo mural at Sabores de Oaxaca - this piece, commissioned by Carolina Migrant Network as part of the Brave of US coalition, celebrates the resilience, courage, and belonging of our immigrant families. We are honored to have licensed the rising sun to adorn the center of the mural and lucky that so many are proud to call our community home 🌞

Check out the accompanying documentary on Carolina Migrant Network page!
