My niece Shiloh is my everything. That little girl walked into my life and brought a kind of joy I didn’t even know I was missing. Watching her grow, watching her laugh, watching her discover this world has been one of the greatest blessings God ever gave me.

No matter how old she gets, no matter how tall she gets, no matter how far life takes her, she will always be my princess.

Time moves fast, but the love I have for her only grows stronger. I’m grateful for every moment, every memory, every lesson she teaches me without even realizing it. Shiloh, you made my heart softer, my days brighter, and my purpose deeper.

Black Fathers Rock!

For the second consecutive year, we will honor and celebrate America’s unsung hero – THE BLACK PATRIARCH. Media personality, author and Charlotte Champion Ryan Jor El, is the creator of Black Fathers Rock! Ryan aims to help change the narrative that all black fathers are absent.

BFR! will highlight stories of amazing fathers who exist in the Charlotte community as well as provide resources for fathers who are in need of guidance. The 90-minute awards ceremony will feature the presentation of six honorees and two entertainment performances.

Black Fathers Exist.

Black Fathers deserve to be celebrated.
