💙 A healthier community begins with access, compassion, and connection!

Charlotte Area Fund was honored to attend The C. W. Williams Community Health Center, Inc 8th Annual Community Health & Doctor Recognition Luncheon, celebrating the healthcare professionals and community leaders working to improve health and well-being across our community.

🩺 The event featured an inspiring message from , Drs. Sampson Davis, Rameck Hunt, and George Jenkins, highlighting the importance of perseverance, community support, and taking charge of our health. did a phenomenal job asking important questions to help us better understand how to engage with our community.

❗ From healthcare affordability and prevention to overcoming fear and mistrust, the conversations reinforced an important truth: Good health is essential to economic mobility and long-term financial stability.

Charlotte Area Fund’s mission is “Helping People. Changing Lives.” It works because it happens early, before a missed paycheck becomes an eviction, before a stressor becomes a diagnosis. Community Action Agencies cannot rewrite the policies that shape poverty, but together with community partners, they can blunt its health effects.

Charlotte Area Fund’s Community Needs Assessment is your opportunity to share what’s working, what’s needed, and what could make our community stronger.

💵 The first 100 people to complete the assessment will receive a $10 incentive!

🇺🇸 Election Day is November 3. Are you ready to vote? 🗳️

North Carolina voters will be asked to show an acceptable photo ID when voting.

➣ If you do not have a valid photo ID card on Election Day, you may still vote and have your vote counted by signing an affidavit of reasonable impediment (or “Photo ID Exception Form”) as to why you have not presented a valid photo ID. The Exception Form can also be used if you have a religious objection to being photographed or are a victim of a recently declared natural disaster.

➣ As an alternative, if you don’t have your ID when you vote, you can still vote and then bring your valid photo ID to your county board of elections by noon on the third business day after Election Day.

Registered voters can obtain a FREE voter photo ID from their county board of elections.

📬 Voting by mail? Photo ID requirements also apply. Follow the instructions provided with your absentee ballot to include a photocopy of an acceptable ID or the applicable Photo ID Exception Form.

Before you vote, check the latest requirements and make your plan.
