A weekend surrounded by hope. Emcee and Auctioneer for two totally unique parties with similar breast cancer missions. The pictures from both are wild.

First, : “Best over-the-top theme party in Charlotte.” 200 women in wedding dresses for charity. Another 100 as bridesmaids, pastors, guests. Women getting their own bridal gowns out of storage; others using Goodwill and Amazon to create white masterpieces. This sellout crowd is full of strangers who become friends, laughing, bonding, fighting over a bouquet toss and shoving pink cake (cut by beautiful bald women going through chemo) in each others’ happy faces. Remarkable vibe. Slide 3 ➡️, my favorite.

Then, the elegance of ‘Roaring in Pink’: Think magical garden inside a ballroom. Survivors, Thrivers and Fighters walking through a rose-filled runway to launch a new collection of dresses from . This global designer handcrafted 27 couture dresses in memory of his sister. After debuting them in Charlotte this weekend, he’s taking them to Dubai for Fashion Week. The flower-filled space felt like highly elevated glamour.

The women in my family have a long history of breast cancer. My great-grandmother, my Grammy, and my mom battled. My mom died of metastatic breast cancer in 2017. To emcee this wedding party that benefits and Auctioneer for Carolina Breast Friends is a personal reward hard to describe.

The whirlwind month continues. I type this from an airport. Bet On Yourself… and watch more and more good unfold.

My Breast Friend’s Wedding supports by hosting an annual, networking, wedding-themed fundraiser for women that is fun, empowering, loving, and inclusive, while raising funds and awareness for the Go Jen Go mission to provide critical financial assistance to local individuals and families who are battling breast cancer.

But you know what is really wonderful… The Go Jen Go Foundation supports us right back in a BIG way and with their whole hearts! 🩷💚🩵 This year Executive Director , Development Manager , Event Coordinator , Program Manager , Board Chair , and the Board of Directors did everything from planning, hosting, coordinating, fundraising, attending, and volunteering at this year’s Wedding!

It’s a partnership that’s doing the good and raising money to continue the legacy and mission of Jen Pagani, Go Jen Go Co-Founder, who saw a need in our breast cancer community and did whatever she could to help, even in the midst of her own breast cancer journey.

Go Jen Go’s Patient Assistance Program helps cover household expenses including housing, utilities, transportation, and groceries/necessities while a patient undergoes breast cancer treatment. In addition, our Mood Williams Camp Scholarship fund provides camp opportunities for our grantees’ children, while our Operation Spread the Joy Program uplifts families impacted by breast cancer by delivering gifts during the holiday season.

Thursday: Fell asleep thinking about the variety of great people out there. Going from public works employees and a keynote/workshop on leadership in Hickory, to a girl-powered evening in Charlotte full of young breast cancer Survivors, Thrivers and Fighters… there are so many good people in this world. We come in different, shapes, sizes, looks and backgrounds, but there are lots of you out there doing great, great things. I love this new professional life. I love a day like yesterday, getting to meet so many of you.

I put more pictures of both events on IG stories (). Last night at My Breast Friends Wedding was truly an epic scene. Three hundred guests… maybe 200 women dressed as brides.

Tonight? Coming at you, Carolina Breast Friends.
