"Impossible is just a big word thrown around by small men who find it easier to live in the world they've been given than to explore the power they have to change it. Impossible is not a fact. It's an opinion. Impossible is not a declaration. It's a dare. Impossible is potential. Impossible is temporary. Impossible is nothing."― Muhammad Ali

Ruth Bader Ginsburg, the Honorable Supreme Court Justice has passed away. She fought colon, pancreatic, lung and liver cancer - her last fight where she succumbed to complications of metastatic pancreatic cancer. She was an icon, a legend, a warrior, a scholar, a leader, a survivor, a woman. Thank you RBG!

"If you are going to change things, you have to be with the people who control the levers." -Ruth Bader Ginsburg

Not all superheroes wear capes or costumes to save the world, but Chadwick Boseman not only wore his armor for the big screen, he wore it in real life. He fought his cancer battle like a true warrior. From 42 to Black Panther, we celebrated his craft and accomplishments while he fought his battle with colon cancer. Rest in power Chadwick Boseman. @ American Cancer Society

The American Cancer Society and Hallmark are joining forces to help people communicate compassionately and show support and encouragement for patients on their journey.

This new line of greeting cards is exclusively available at CVS Pharmacy stores nationwide and on cvs.com from August 2 - August 22, 2020.

Hallmark will donate $1 to ACS for every card purchased during that three-week period, up to $50,000. Spread the word!

Hallmark designed the cards based on industry trends, with input from ACS on how to communicate thoughtfully with the cancer community.

We are proud to have partnered with top card designers to bring this new patient-centric line to life and make it available at CVS retail, now a health destination.

The American Cancer Society is honored to have given funding to 49 investigators who went on to win the Nobel Prize, considered the highest accolade any scientist can receive. This is a tribute to the Society’s Research program and the strength of its peer-review process.

For the first time in our 107-year history, our mission is at risk. If trends continue, we will have to cut research funding by 50% this year. Please help reverse these trends. Donate today at cancer.org/donate.

Some bonus inspiration to wrap up your week as we remember a civil rights champion, U.S. Congressman and cancer warrior:

“Do not get lost in a sea of despair. Be hopeful, be optimistic. Our struggle is not the struggle of a day, a week, a month, or a year, it is the struggle of a lifetime. Never, ever be afraid to make some noise and get in good trouble, necessary trouble.” – John Lewis, 1940-2020
