We got a first look — and taste — of one of Charlotte’s newest restaurants!

Last week, we were honored to partner with Guard and Grace for their First Look. First Pour. First Bite. VIP Opening Party ahead of the restaurant’s official Charlotte debut.

Nourish Up was proud to serve as the nonprofit partner for the evening and be part of the celebration.

Thank you to the Guard and Grace team for including Nourish Up in such an exciting evening and for choosing to support our mission to nourish neighbors with food and compassion.

Welcome to Charlotte, Guard and Grace ! 💙

🏈 Rep your team. Deliver a route. Rack up the points!

It’s Homecoming season, and we’re bringing some friendly competition to Grocery Home Delivery all October long!

Wear or display gear from your alma mater or favorite sports team when you pick up your route and earn one point for every route you deliver while repping your team. Shirts, hats, socks, lanyards, car flags, stickers, magnets...it all counts!

🏆 At the end of October, the three volunteers with the most points will win Nourish Up swag or a gas gift card.

Sign up for a route, show your team spirit and make sure we see your gear so you get credit!

We’re seeing ORANGE everywhere at Nourish Up today! 🧡

It’s , and our team is wearing orange, the national color of hunger awareness and food insecurity advocacy, to call attention to hunger in our community and the many ways we can take action.

Whether you volunteer, donate or advocate, every action matters.

In honor of , we invite you to take action with us as we work toward our vision: a community that accepts no excuses for our neighbors going hungry. 🧡

Connect. Serve. Lead.

We’re building something for the future with young professionals in Charlotte.

Last week, Nourish Up Young Professionals came together for an After-Hours gathering at the Hunger Hub!

We kicked off the evening getting to know each other, then headed behind the scenes for a Mission Tour of the Hunger Hub, and ended the night with time to socialize and network.

Nourish Up Young Professionals is just getting going, and we’d love for you to be part of what comes next. Through quarterly gatherings, volunteer opportunities and more, we’re creating a community for young professionals to meet, get involved with Nourish Up, and make a meaningful impact for our neighbors.

We are Better Together.

Last week, we welcomed partners from across our community to the Hunger Hub for our annual Hunger Partner Summit, a day to learn from one another, strengthen connections and celebrate the organizations and people working every day to serve our neighbors.

This year’s theme, Better Together, came directly from a reflection shared after last year’s Summit: “This was a reminder that we are all better together.” It stuck with us because it captures what this work looks like every day. No single organization can meet every need, but when we share our knowledge, connect our resources and learn from one another, we can accomplish so much more together.

A special thank you to our breakout session guest speakers for sharing their expertise and creating space for meaningful conversation:
• Ashlyn Pemberton & Yeferline Gomez, Mental Health America of Central Carolinas - MHA
• Vickie Craighead-Davis, Building Hope Building Commitment
• Martia Edwards & Liliana Jaramillo, OurBridge for Kids
• Dr. Gloria Council, Clearview Therapy & Community Resource Hub

We also had the honor of recognizing three Hunger Partners whose commitment to our neighbors and collaboration across our community stood out this year:

🏆 Client Champion Award: Village Heartbeat
🏆 Community Legacy Award: Ada Jenkins Center
🏆 Impact & Collaboration Award: Angels & Sparrows

And thank you to Refugee Support Services and participants in their Knit Together program for the beautiful handmade centerpieces that helped make the day even more meaningful.

To every partner who joined us, shared their experiences, asked questions and continues to show up for our neighbors: thank you for being part of the Nourish Up network.

We really are better together. 💙💚💛🧡
