MLS NEXT Flex Recap.

This is not a tournament you simply enter. Qualification alone places you among the most competitive programs in the country. The Mutiny remains one of only six clubs nationwide to qualify all four age groups (U15–U19) in back-to-back seasons.

Every bracket was loaded. MLS Homegrown academies across the board. No easy matches, no margins for complacency. Our teams stepped into that environment and proved they belong. Not just present but competitive.

One of the defining moments: U17s taking down Philadelphia Union on penalties. Composure under pressure, ex*****on when it mattered.

This is the standard. The work behind the scenes continues, and it shows. Credit to the players, the coaches, and the staff driving it daily.

Our teams represented the club with clarity of purpose and unity at the MLS NEXT AD Road to Cup Qualifiers. The standard of team ethic and camaraderie was unmistakable. In their first season together, the U14 group demonstrated real progression, competing directly with the strongest sides in the region and matching them in every phase.

Recognition is due to the U12 squad competing up an age group all season in the U13 MLS NEXT AD league. They didn’t just participate, they won their group at the event and advanced to the Quarterfinals. That outcome reflects preparation, resilience, and a clear developmental trajectory.

The direction is established. The foundation is proven. The future for Mutiny is uncompromising.

Queen City Mutiny adds another coach of the highest caliber with the appointment of Arie Amman as Goalkeeper Director of Coaching for the 2026–2027 season.

Amman developed through the D.C. United pathway, captaining the U16 side while also being involved in the U.S. U17 National Team setup, an experience that established his foundation as both a player and a leader.

He went on to sign a two-year contract with Watford FC, competing with the U18s and U23s while training with the first team during a promotion-winning season to the Premier League. That environment demanded consistency, professionalism, and elevated daily standards.

Returning to the United States, Amman continued his career at Penn State, earning Big Ten Defensive Player of the Week honors, before finishing at the University of Pittsburgh. He played a key role in helping lead Pitt to its first NCAA Tournament appearance.

Alongside his playing career, Amman has been deeply involved in coaching from an early age through his father’s goalkeeper academy, 247 Goalkeeper. He now serves as CEO, leading a platform focused on detailed video analysis, delivering technical and tactical feedback through a structured online system.

His background reflects a clear coaching identity: detail-driven, decision-focused, and built around developing confident goalkeepers who perform under pressure.
