Queen City Mutiny adds another coach of the highest caliber with the appointment of Arie Amman as Goalkeeper Director of Coaching for the 2026–2027 season.
Amman developed through the D.C. United pathway, captaining the U16 side while also being involved in the U.S. U17 National Team setup, an experience that established his foundation as both a player and a leader.
He went on to sign a two-year contract with Watford FC, competing with the U18s and U23s while training with the first team during a promotion-winning season to the Premier League. That environment demanded consistency, professionalism, and elevated daily standards.
Returning to the United States, Amman continued his career at Penn State, earning Big Ten Defensive Player of the Week honors, before finishing at the University of Pittsburgh. He played a key role in helping lead Pitt to its first NCAA Tournament appearance.
Alongside his playing career, Amman has been deeply involved in coaching from an early age through his father’s goalkeeper academy, 247 Goalkeeper. He now serves as CEO, leading a platform focused on detailed video analysis, delivering technical and tactical feedback through a structured online system.
His background reflects a clear coaching identity: detail-driven, decision-focused, and built around developing confident goalkeepers who perform under pressure.
