September is Childhood Cancer Awareness Month. 🎗️

This month, we recognize the children and adolescents affected by cancer, honor their families and loved ones, and acknowledge the healthcare professionals, researchers, and advocates working to improve outcomes.

For those affected by rare cancers, awareness is especially important. Clear cell sarcoma is a rare soft-tissue sarcoma that can affect adolescents and young adults, and much remains to be learned about how to better diagnose and treat this disease.

At the Clear Cell Sarcoma Foundation, we believe that every patient deserves hope, continued research, and a community committed to moving progress forward.

This September, help us shine a light on childhood cancer and the need for continued research into rare cancers. 💛🎗️

✅ CCS Trivia Answer!

The correct answer is…

🅲️ Surgery

For localized Clear Cell Sarcoma, surgery is the cornerstone of treatment. The goal is to remove the tumor completely with negative (clear) margins, meaning no cancer cells are found at the edges of the removed tissue. Achieving clear margins offers the best chance for long-term disease control.

Because Clear Cell Sarcoma is an ultra-rare cancer, it's important for patients to seek care from a multidisciplinary sarcoma team with experience treating rare sarcomas. Specialized expertise can make a meaningful difference in treatment planning and outcomes.
