It's the last week for our spring semester Teen Chef program! We had a double mother-daughter volunteer duo join us this round and we loved the energy of them volunteering together 🤗 And they spoiled us for their last shift by bringing us the sweetest card and a big ol tub of delicious home-made guacamole 😋🥑
In case you didn't know, our love language is food 💓💓💓
We're excited to welcome our new summer volunteers next week, mandatory orientation is on Monday!

We are thrilled to announce that our Culinary Director, Mimi has been accepted into the award winning, and highly competitive, Food for Life nutrition education and cooking class program! 🥦🥬🫘🥕

Designed by the Physicians Committee for Responsible Medicine (PCRM), this program has been a pioneer in delivering hands-on information about the direct role of plant-based nutrition in health and chronic disease prevention to communities around the world since 2001.

Food for Life promotes healthful, plant-based eating based on the latest scientific research.

We are so excited for this milestone in Mimi's career and the direct benefit it will have in our community.

Please give her a high five next time you see her and we look forward to sharing her journey with everyone!

AMOR Fest, happening February 21, at Freehouse Brewery, Charleston’s only organic brewery. Join us for a super unique and lively evening celebrating plant-based cuisine, art, music, and food-as-medicine in action.

Some high school couples spend their evenings on Snapchat...but not these two. 🥦💚

Omar and Gigi have spent the past year dedicated to volunteering with us and showing up to chop, cook, package, clean and step up to any other duty that needs to be done. Not to mention Omar juggles 2 part time jobs in addition to all.

We're stoked to welcome them back for our spring session. The community appreciates you two!
