Avondale 5K Run and Walk

Join us for the 16th Annual Avondale 5K benefiting the special children of the Charles Webb Center on Saturday, October 11, 2025 at 8:00 a.m.

For more information visit Avondale5k.com. The Avondale 5K was created in 2010 to help fund the Charles Webb Center. The CWC is a developmental day care operated by the Disabilities Board of Charleston County, serving children with special needs from age 6 weeks to 10 years old. The mission of Charles Webb is to aid in each child’s growth and development through an educational program, to develop

each child’s sense of self-esteem, and to strengthen each child’s social, language and preschool skills. The Charles Webb Center focuses on the individual strengths of each child to maximize his or her learning in all areas of development. All of the proceeds from the Avondale 5K race go directly to the Charles Webb Center to pay for classroom equipment, supplies, food, etc. Without the help of the A5K, Charles Webb would not be able to continue its service. "I feel Webb has helped Te'Aujah in many ways. Te'Ajuah has shown so many improvements with her language, motor skills, potty training, and so much more. Te'Aujah has been attending the center since she was a baby. She has learned a lot of things since attending Webb. She also gets the therapy she needs, as well. I think Webb is a great facility that has patience with the children. Te'Aujah has learned to communicate more using her words, and she is very loved at Webb! She comes home talking about the staff, especially Raven.

Webb is great because the facility is specifically designed for children with disabilities. Webb has helped Te'Aujah with preparing for school and everyday living!"

🧡 DYK: the Avondale 5k is the largest annual fundraiser for the Charles Webb Center, a childcare center dedicated to supporting children with special needs and disabilities right here in our community!

Every registration, sponsorship, and donation helps provide critical care, education, and support for children and families who rely on these services.
