๐Ÿ’ฐ Investing in Their Future ๐Ÿ’ฐ

At the end of April, students in our CrossRoads Intermediate mentoring program participated in an interactive Financial Literacy Workshop led by special guest speaker Kenneth Page.

Through hands-on activities and discussions, students learned about budgeting, saving, spending wisely, and setting financial goals. These are life skills that can help build confidence, independence, and a strong foundation for future success.

A special thank you to Kenneth Page for sharing his time, knowledge, and encouragement with our students. We are grateful for community leaders who are willing to invest in the next generation.

At the Palmetto Foundation for Prevention & Recovery, we believe empowering youth means equipping them with the tools they need to make positive choices both today and in the future.

Let's change the conversation.

Addiction is classified as a chronic brain disorder because substances physically alter critical circuits involved in reward, stress response, and self-control.
These changes make it incredibly difficult to stop using without help.

Understanding this is the first step in replacing judgment with empathy and punishment with treatment. When we see addiction for what it is - a health condition - we can start building real solutions.
