As thousands of Scots take over Boston for the - most Americans are saying one thing 😍

It's estimated a whopping 40,000 members of the Tartan Army made the trip overseas - creating a sea of kilts, bagpipes, pints, and chants.

While some people in the States may have been confused about the influx of Scots into the city - most Americans seem overjoyed by the uplifting presence of the Tartan Army. So much so, Bostonians now say they need to figure out a way to keep Scots from leaving them 😂

Many Americans have taken to social media over the last few days to share their thoughts on the Tartan Army 👇

Updated 2026 Savannah Scottish Games’ Site Plan 🏴󠁧󠁢󠁳󠁣󠁴󠁿 43 Clans & Societies are all set to welcome visitors to the 48th Annual Savannah Scottish Games on May 2, 2026 at Bethesda Academy starting at 8:45 a.m. Come to chat about their various connections to Scotland! Every clan has a story and you may find a connection to your own family heritage!

You don’t want to miss the 11:40 a.m. Posting of the Colors followed by the Clan & Societies’ PARADE OF TARTANS.

This is a great opportunity to observe the celebration of Scottish Clans and Culture! Adjutants will be making the rounds of the Clan tents with instructions on where to assemble. There will be small signs on stakes with clan tent number and name showing where the clan marchers should position for the parade.

The MASSED PIPE BANDS will follow starting from the Pipers’ Village and march through the event field entrance to the middle to play for the parade.

Sonny Dixon will be positioned near the field entrance to introduce each clan as they enter. He will do a short introduction about each Clan. It is always wonderful to hear the stories behind the Clans and see this amazing Parade of Tartans with Clan Banners.

Clan marchers will have time to get back to their tents for the WELCOME CEREMONY. The use of a team of Adjutants (wearing yellow vests identified as Adjutants) will make the event run smoothly. Also, there will be plenty of announcements made!

The 48th Annual Savannah Scottish Games’ Welcome Ceremony will not begin until the parade is finished. It is a packed programme of events! There is a special celebration planned at noon to celebrate the 250th Anniversary of the birth of America.

For visitor viewing, the 2026 Savannah Scottish Games there has been a substantially increase in the open space on the Main Field to view Heavy Athletics, the Posting of the Colors, Parade of Tartans, Massed Pipe Bands & Welcome ceremonies!

Can you tell we are getting excited for the Savannah Scottish Games!
