If she can see it, she can be it! ⚖️✨

Our entire focus for Week 2 of the Summer Empowerment & Exploration Experience was Criminal Justice, and we packed the week with incredible growth and discovery.

We kicked things off on Monday with a powerful visit from Sgt. Rogers, who gave our cohort an inspiring first glimpse into the field. From there, the girls stepped inside the Golden Ring and Annapolis Barracks alongside the Forensic Lab to truly understand the amazing career opportunities waiting for them within the Maryland State Police department. 🚔🔬

To round out our week, our higher education spotlight focused on Howard University, The Mecca, showing our girls how an HBCU foundation can launch impactful careers. 🦬💙❤️

We aren't just teaching these young ladies about the criminal justice system; we are showing them that they have the power to shape it. Week 2 proved that when opportunity meets ambition, there are no limits. Watch out world, the future of justice is HERe! ⚡️👑

A massive thank you to Sgt. Rogers and the Maryland State Police for welcoming us, sharing your career paths, and inspiring our girls!💙🌟

The Summer Empowerment & Exploration Experience broadened the horizons of our young ladies through immersive HBCU exposure and scholarship opportunities.

We wrapped up our program with presentations on future careers, skills to acquire, education to obtain, and first time jobs and/ or volunteer opportunities to seek this summer.

Our young ladies also had the incredible opportunity to connect and converse with women who are thriving in the exact careers they dream of pursuing, while receiving firsthand insight on why pursuing higher education is beneficial for their careers.

Thanks to these HBCUs, Coppin State University Morgan State University Bowie State University and Howard University for providing school swag and information for our girls. For some, this was their very first time being exposed to an HBCU.

This opportunity to partner with All Nations Seventh-Day Adventist Church of St. Petersburg Florida to empower young ladies in the Tampa Bay Area was life changing.
