Our Foster the Family Support Group for foster and adoptive moms meets THIS Sunday, June 28th 5:30-7pm. and we’d love to see you and your crew.

Our topic this month is Connecting with your Teen. I’ve done the training and I think it’s applicable to “big kids” in general. If you’re in a season with littles, this content will be relevant as they grow! And even if the training isn’t exactly where you are right now, we will have time to celebrate the victories and lament the grief of parenting together.

Operation Wash & Fold. 🧺 ❤️
Would you believe that washing someone’s dirty laundry could help heal a brain impacted by childhood trauma?
Co-regulating and connecting with a child who is in foster care is time consuming. By taking on a few loads of laundry through Operation Wash and Fold, we allow foster parents to tend to the more pressing needs in their home for compassionate trauma sensitive care. Trauma changes brains, but so does healing. While strangers across town were washing and folding this laundry yesterday, a foster parent could dedicate that time to meeting the emotional needs in her home.
So thanks to our laundry fairies for being the hands and feet and washing machines of Jesus this weekend!! 🪄

Our April foster and adoptive moms support group meeting is THIS Sunday April 26th from 5:30-7:00pm.
If you like to have time to eat a free dinner that you didn't have to prepare before we get started, try and arrive at around 5:15pm.
Childcare for kids ages 0-10 is available but registration is required at the link below.
Our topic this month is Adverse Childhood Experiences (ACEs) and Emotional Regulation. You will receive a 1 hour training certificate via email after our support group.
We'd love to have you join us this Sunday as we seek to be a welcoming, informed, compassionate community of foster and adoptive moms.
