SENIOR SPOTLIGHT: Rhett Smith 🎓

Rhett is another of our original students, having first joined the Chapin Academy family in 4th grade when the doors of the school first opened. In the fall, he will attend Charleston Southern University, where he plans to major in Christian Studies with the goal of later attending seminary and becoming a minister. Rhett is a recipient of the Palmetto Fellows Scholarship, as well as Charleston Southern’s Jairy C. Hunter, Jr. Scholarship.

SENIOR SPOTLIGHT: Evan Patterson 🎓

Evan is another of our seniors who has been part of the Chapin Academy family since day one, his 4th grade year. This fall, he plans to study Exercise Science at Sewanee, University of the South. Evan will continue his football career on the collegiate level as a Sewanee Tiger and is a recipient of the Belk Family and EQB Award Scholarships.

Brooke joined the Chapin Academy community when she was in 5th grade. She will be attending the University of South Carolina and plans to major in Accounting. Brooke is a USC Capstone Scholar and a recipient of the Palmetto Fellows Scholarship, as well as USC Dean’s and STEM Supplement Scholarships.

Andrew joined the Chapin Academy family his 4th grade year and is another of our original students from this class. In the fall, he will attend Anderson University, where he plans to double major in Cybersecurity and Coding (Game Development). Andrew is a recipient of the Palmetto Fellows Scholarship, as well as Anderson University’s President’s and Denmark Scholarships.

Samantha has been a student at Chapin Academy since 8th grade. She plans to pursue a career in Pediatric Occupational Therapy. Samantha will complete her second year of college coursework at Midlands Technical College in the fall, with plans to transfer to the University of South Carolina to complete her studies.

Chapin Academy graduation is almost here! We’re proud to celebrate the Class of 2026 by spotlighting our seniors.

Benjamin has been part of the Chapin Academy family since 7th grade. This fall, he will attend Anderson University to pursue a degree in Kinesiology. He will continue his athletic career as a signed pole vaulter on the AU Track Team. Congrats, Benjamin!
