Kesem at UNC - Chapel Hill Kesem is a nationwide community, led by passionate college student leaders, that supports children through and beyond their parent’s cancer.

Kesem is a federally registered 501(c)(3) not-for-profit organization. Kesem is a diverse community led by passionate and empathetic college students working to ensure that children facing the challenges of a parent’s cancer have space, connection, and support to rediscover the joys of childhood. Our mission is to support children through and beyond their parent’s cancer with free, fun-filled crea

tive programs and a lasting community. Camp Kesem at UNC-Chapel Hill was founded in 2016 and supports children in the North Carolina community by providing a free week-long summer camp experience and year-round peer support. Camp Kesem at UNC-Chapel Hill is operated by over 90 student volunteers and serves over 110 campers ages 6-18 per year. Kesem operates at more than 130 chapters coast-to-coast. Its programs and services are all funded by generous donations from individuals, foundations, and corporate partners.

Camp is RIGHT around the corner and we seriously can’t believe the year is almost over. We’re so grateful for all the support you’ve shown us! It truly means everything ❤️

Now we’re in the final stretch! Our goal is to raise $5,000 in the next two weeks, and if each counselor raises just $67, we’ll get there.

This weekend, we had our senior sendoff and got to celebrate our incredible seniors! It is hard to believe they are moving on to their next chapters, as this group has been absolutely amazing and made such an impact over the past four years. We are so grateful for everything they've done for our chapter, and can't wait for one last adventure with them this summer at Camp Kesem. Thank you seniors, we love you!

Make the Magic 2026 was an amazing night! We are SO EXCITED to announce that we met our goal and raised over $30,000 for kids impacted by a parent's cancer!! We would like to extend a huge thank you to all of our attendees, volunteers, sponsors, in-kind donors, and Blue Hill Event Center staff for making the event so incredible. Your generosity and support will make such an impact on our campers!

Additionally, we want to specifically shout-out Nothing Bundt Cakes, who donated so many delicious bundt cakes for our guests!

Finally, thank you to our Make the Magic coordinators, Cheddar, Bacon, and Shovel, who worked so hard to put this event together. You ladies are awesome and brought the magic!!!

HEY KESEM FAM!! It's that time of year again... Kesem Kraziness is back! If you love college basketball and love Kesem, it's your time to shine. Kesem Kraziness is our annual March Madness bracket challenge, where you can compete against your Kesem fam, help us fundraise, and potentially win some amazing prizes. Join the group and come out on top to win a prize and/or donate $10 to be entered into our raffle pool for another way to win.
