Tool Time! The County Master Recycler Composter Volunteers' MRC Tool Bucket Library's "tool of the day" is a portable Chicago Electric 10-inch table saw with a 15 Amp motor. The saw is 10 inches in diameter with a 5/8-inch arbor. The cutting capacity is approximately 3 inches at a 90-degree angle. Tabletop is heavy-duty die-cast aluminum, and measures roughly 26"L x 19"W. Tool Time! Today's featured tool from the Lewis County Master Recycler Composter Volunteers' MRC Tool Bucket Library is the Wolfmen 20V cordless leaf blower kit. It's designed for cleaning debris from small to medium yards, patios, and driveways. The kit includes two 20-volt, lithium-ion batteries for extended battery time, a charger, and 2 blower tubes. It features variable speed settings to control airflow for different tasks, such as clearing light wet leaves or sweeping garages. A beautiful afternoon at the MRC Tool Bucket Library! We checked tools in and out, mowed the lawn, weeded and watered at Floral Park. The most fun is the diagnosing tool repairs. We sure have a handy group of volunteers!

Anyone planning to work in their yards this weekend should come get a free load of this great material to add to your garden or landscaping soil. It's sawdust, 🐑💩, and straw -- all great additives to your soil! The container is open from 7:30 a.m. to 5:15 p.m. Monday through Saturday in the lot next to the transfer station in Centralia. It will, however, be closed for the Memorial Day holiday on Monday.

Need some extra material to add to your compost bins? We have a 40-yard container of sheep barn stall debris from the Spring Youth Fair a few weeks ago. It is available for free on a first-come, first-served basis. The container is in the parking lot before you enter the transfer station in Centralia at 1411 S. Tower Avenue. You will need to load it yourself from out of the end of the container. The gates will be open during our operating hours: Monday through Saturday from 7:30 a.m. to 5:15 p.m.
