The Lewis County Gospel Mission is experiencing a greater than usual number of guests! This will only increase with the SNAP (food stamp) assistance being unfunded beginning November 1, 2025. The increased demand for services will severely stress our limited resources! Here are a couple of lists of needs that will help the Mission meet the needs of your friends and neighbors at this hard time.

CLOTHING: heavy socks, hoodies, sleeping bags, tarps, blankets, coats (men's & women's), men's underwear, tents.

FOOD: milk, sugar, coffee, coffee creamer, breakfast sausage, hamburger.

PANTRY: Spam, canned stew, single serve pop-top vegetables (green beans, corn or mixed.), single serve easy open fruit cups, snack bars, cracker/ cheese/peanut butter snacks, energy bars. Single serve packs of oatmeal or other cereals.

Beginning with the 2025-26 school year, Centralia will offer a 50/50 Spanish/English two-way dual language program at Oakview Elementary. Both native Spanish speakers (and bilingual students) and native English speakers make up the kindergarten class.

This is a tremendous opportunity for all of our students to become bilingual and ensure they are meeting grade-level standards.
