Visiting Nurses Foundation The mission of the Visiting Nurses Foundation is to create funding for education and assistance of Home Health and Hospice patients and their families.

The mission of the Foundation is to create funding for education and assistance of Home Health and Hospice patients and their families. In pursuit of this mission, the Foundation raises funds for distribution to home health and hospice care organizations, as well as individuals to help cover the costs of equipment, programs and uncompensated care for patients. We serve individuals in the Lewis Cou

nty area as well as Thurston, Jefferson, Clallam, Mason, Grant, Adams and Lincoln counties. We measure our success by our ability to raise and effectively distribute these funds. The Foundation has a dedicated staff and active volunteer board, who work to increase funding to help meet a vital community need. The majority of the Visiting Nurses Foundation income comes from Foundation businesses. A portion of that income pays administrative expenses and the salaries of our staff. All fundraising proceeds, donations and memorials benefit home health and hospice patients. The Foundation is committed to help home health and hospice care providers in their efforts to serve residents of our area in need of care, regardless of the patients’ ability to pay.
