This past month, 50 adoptees from across North America came together in Toronto for a weekend of connection, exploration, delicious dim sum, losing our voices to karaoke, and trying ketchup chips for the first time (verdict: yummy!). We made so many unforgettable memories along the way.

We had the opportunity to hear from about the China birth parent search process, and from about reclaiming your transracial adoptee identity. Both workshops gave attendees valuable conversations and space to share their experiences.

Most of all, the Beyond Adopteen Connection Weekend was built so adult adoptees can come together in community, and the connections made this weekend are what will stay with us long after Toronto. We are already looking forward to 2027!

Registration for the Beyond Adopteen 21+ Retreat has been extended to Friday, July 10th, so there's still time to join us in Toronto this August 7th–10th, 2026.
