The Center's Gift of Hope programs supports 330 children in Meru, Kenya, with education, health, and nutritional needs. Many of these children have been orphaned by AIDS. Led by Glorie Gitonga, a talented and passionate social worker, these students are provided the basic necessities to prosper.

You hear this often from us... collaboration is key to success! The leadership team of the Kaaga Synod of the Methodist Church recently met with the Methodist Treatment Centre team to discuss continued promotion and marketing of the Treatment Centre. It is a year of growth for the Treatment Centre and its service to the community. The Center for Health and Hope is grateful to partner with both the Kaaga Synod and the Treatment Centre to provide essential support to the community of Meru, Kenya.

The Center for Health and Hope is a proud sponsor of a new documentary that is currently in its post-production phase. Its focus? The American Protestant church's response to the AIDS epidemic. As you can imagine, the answer is complicated. Painful, and in places, beautiful. From Kolkata, India, Mintu was supported as a kid by the Snehakunja Children's Home through funds provided by the Center. The Center for Health and Hope could not be more happy to share that in recent weeks, we have offered full scholarships to 22 post-secondary students in Kenya! These programs range from training certificates to bachelor's degrees in nursing, counseling, education, computer science, and more. One of those amazing students is Robin who will be working on his education diploma. Please consider helping a student reach their dreams by supporting a scholar through the Center.
