🌱 IT’S COMPLETE! THE Boys & Girls Clubs of Central Wyoming GREENHOUSE IS READY! 🌱

Two years in the making, a whole lot of community love, and one incredible volunteer effort later… the BGCCW greenhouse is officially complete! 💚

What started two years ago as a $10,000 project quickly grew into something much bigger. After touring local school greenhouses, we realized our original vision needed to be built stronger to handle Wyoming’s strong winds. That’s when a BGCCW supporter and board member championed the effort, allowing us to dream bigger.

Today, a massive 24’ x 48’ greenhouse stands in the backyard of the BGCCW Club on K Street! 🌿

Here’s our favorite part: Rotary completed the entire interior in just three hours! 🙌 Nine Rotarians, three family members, one BGC staff member, three Club kids, and a BGC spouse rolled up their sleeves and got it done. That’s what happens when community comes together.

💚 This effort would not have been possible without our incredible partners and donors:

🌱 Grant partners: Farm Credit Services of America, Wyoming Hunger Initiative, and Natrona County Master Gardeners.
🌱 Local families and donors: Four local families, including the Lenhart family, whose major gift helped make this vision possible.
🌱 Community partners: Caspar Building Systems, Modern Electric, Five Trails Rotary, Wyoming Plant Co., and the Casper Landfill.

So, what’s next? 🌻
This greenhouse is the foundation for an exciting new program for BGCCW kids and families:

🪴 Hands-on Learning: Kids will grow plants from seed to harvest, building lifelong skills.
🥗 Sustaining Meals: Fresh fruits and vegetables will supply BGCCW’s food program for healthy snacks and meals.
💡 Youth Empowerment: Kids and teens will have new hands-on fundraising opportunities along the way.

We look forward to continuing to volunteer and watch this space flourish! 🌱💚
