HB10 was not considered in the Senate by today's deadline! Librarians, library supporters, and partners showed up non-stop during this session to tell people what we all know: censorship is not the Wyoming way. Thank you to everyone for emailing your legislators, for testifying in committees, and for being there for our libraries!

Take Action: Contact the Senate Judiciary Committee & Tell Them to Vote "No" on HB10!

Here's What To Do:

Write an email to all 5 members of the Senate Judiciary Committee. You can email the committee as a whole or reach out with individual messages. If you know them personally, send them a text or give them a call.
Send communication before Thursday morning.
Be kind, courteous, and polite. Put things in your own words.
Helpful Tips to Write Your Email:

Send your emails from a personal email, not a library work email.
SUBJECT
Make sure to include that you're a WY voter/constituent.
Reference the bill.
Example: "Vote no on HB10 (Casper voter)" OR "Casper constituent asks you to consider the negative impact of HB10 on libraries and schools"

MESSAGE
Your message should be short, simple, and include the following:
Address each committee member properly.
Say who you are - Make sure to reiterate that you are a Wyoming voter.
Voice your position. Explain your stance and how the bill will affect you and your library and/or your school.
Make it original to you and your library/school.
