Natrona Collective Health Trust

Natrona Collective Health Trust As Wyoming's largest private foundation, the Natrona Collective Health Trust invests in the health and well-being of our community’s residents.

Through our programs, resources, advocacy and funding, we aim to address health challenges at their roots. Formerly the Wyoming Medical Center Foundation, our mission is to build the foundation for lifelong health among Natrona County community members by advancing the mental wellbeing of young people through trust-based philanthropy and systems change. By eliminating many of the burdens of tradit

ional funding, we can more efficiently provide support to non-profits who are working to improve the many factors that impact community health and mental wellbeing of young people. We are honored to have Masterson Place as one of our key programs. Masterson Place is Casper's home away from home for patients and their families receiving medical care in Natrona County. We've heard it in our research and from community members directly: getting around is getting in the way of getting care and jobs. Casper Area Transit is analyzing its routes and schedule and is asking riders and residents to share what's working and what isn't. The survey closes June 7. Share your feedback at https://fp.mysocialpinpoint.com/casper-area-transit/survey

Give your input on public transit! 🚌

Casper Area Transit is asking for community feedback to help shape future routes and schedules through a new survey and upcoming open house.

A lot of people in Natrona County have opinions about the Trust. Some of them are right. A lot of them are wrong. That's on us.

It's time to show our work.

We manage $308 million in community assets and make funding decisions that affect nearly 100 organizations. We've heard the questions: Where does the money go? How do you decide who gets funded? Is this political?

Those are fair questions. So we wrote the answers down.

Today we're launching "Show your work," a 7-part blog series where we explain how the Trust operates, how we make decisions, and why the community deserves more than our word for it.

First post is live at collectivehealthtrust.org/show-your-work

Show Your Work is a 7-part series from the Health Trust on how we operate, how we make decisions, and why we think the community deserves more than our word for it. For years, the Trust operated with a simple philosophy: do good work, and the community will notice. It […]

Tuesday night, Casper showed up.

So many of you joined us for our community listening session, and we heard what's on your minds: what's getting in the way, what you wish was different, and what you hope for your families and neighbors.

This is exactly why we do this work. What you shared will directly inform our direction for the next five years.

We had such an amazing time this week at the Wyoming Nonprofit Conference gathering with non-profits from all over Wyoming to learn, celebrate, connect, and grow! We are so grateful for the work the Wyoming Nonprofit Network does to bolster the success of our state's NPs and all the families and individuals they serve.

There's A LOT that goes into building a thriving community. A thriving STATE. So many of the folks at the Wyoming Nonprofit Network are near and dear to what we do at Wyoming Out Loud.

So many of the state's Nonprofits rely on the good will of the community and the vibes we capture and promote.

Feeling the love on a Wednesday.

It's SO GOOD to see all of our PASSIONATE community builders all together in one (very tight) room.

Happy birthday to our bestest office dog, Bunkie! And congrats on keeping him alive for 5 years, Sam (we know he hasn’t always made that part easy). In honor of this most special day, here’s a special something from Leanne, entitled “Bunkie — Chief Happiness Officer 🐾”

Bunkie is the heart (and unofficial boss) of all things happy at the Trust. He embodies the very best of us—loyal to his core, always patiently watching and waiting for his favorite humans to walk through the door like it’s the highlight of his day… because it is.

He takes his job seriously: greeting everyone with full-body enthusiasm, making his rounds between program team offices, and strategically positioning himself for maximum snack opportunities. Efficiency at its finest.

Like the rest of us, Bunkie knows the value of a good break. While we’re stuck in meetings, he’s out there living his best life—soaking up sunshine and reminding us that rest is part of the work too.

And then there’s his wheels—his adorable little carriage that he’s grown into with nothing but resilience and a tail-wagging attitude. If anything, it just made him even more Bunkie.

He’s the ultimate reset button on a tough day. Because no matter what kind of mood you’re in, it’s nearly impossible to stay there once Bunkie comes bouncing through.

Honestly, if joy had a mascot—it would be Bunkie.

We asked 545 registered Wyoming voters how they feel about healthcare in the state. What they told us surprised us.

63% say the system meets their family's needs. Only 34% say it's working for most Wyomingites.

That 29-point gap holds across party lines, income levels, and every corner of the state. Wyomingites see their neighbors struggling, even when they aren't.

Where do you see the gap in your community? Tell us in the comments, and stay tuned for the full report.

Last night, 29 Casper residents showed up to learn about their right to vote after incarceration. We shared a meal, covered Wyoming law, and helped people take real steps toward restoring their voice.

That's what this work looks like. Vote like your health depends on it, because in Natrona County, it does.
