4-H community partners show up year-round for Hancock County youth. One of those partners is West Central FS. Each year, West Central FS makes a donation to all 4-H clubs in Hancock County. Clubs use those funds for various purposes. Many clubs use them to pay annual 4-H enrollment fees for returning club members. As Hancock County 4-H continues to grow in enrollment, West Central FS's contribution grows each year. Thank you, West Central FS. 4-H grows in Hancock County because of community partners like you!

To every 4-H volunteer....leaders, judges, assistants, superintendents, parents, community members, guest speakers...the list is long. Clear Creek Ranch Mom says it best in this post.

Thank you for showing up for Hancock County 4-H.

Each year I struggle to find the right words to give adequate thanks to all the people who make all county fair’s possible.
A few of those folks are paid to do their job. A whole heap of them are volunteers. Regardless, they all go above and beyond....far beyond the bounds of any type of paycheck, when serving the youth and 4-H. Frankly, these thanks must extend to anyone, serving youth activities anywhere in this country.
We have already kicked things off with clothing entry day and the dog show.
An extraordinary amount of work goes into this massive event.
More than even I could imagine.

All this for $6.
That is right. This small amount of money covers an entire year’s worth of being a 4-H member, in our county. Our county fair is now in full swing for the next 10 days.

I know all these people will keep on working whether they are thanked or not.
But it doesn’t hurt to keep doing it. Because, it is 2026. And we ALL know how hard it is to “stick your neck out” beyond, in these times.

So, thank you in advance. Thank you to every single one of you, across this great country, who can and do and will give of yourselves this fair season. Without you, there would be no county fair. May we all remember that children are the best imitators. If we want to create a future to be proud of, May it all begin in the barn, the grounds, the judges tables, and beyond.

Hancock County 4-H Federation would like to thank First Bankers Trust and Marine Bank for their generous support of our Tuesday night cookout. We would also like to thank Kelly Freeman and Susan Starr (mom of Federation member, Kaitlyn) for serving as our cashiers. Two of the very best in the banking business joining forces to support 4-H in Hancock County!

Thank you to Mahoney's Coffee for your generous donation to 4-H Federation! Mahoney's offered a "4-H Drink" selection during 4-H Fair Week and proceeds from the sale of that drink were donated to Federation. We appreciate your support, Mahoney's Coffee! 4-H grows here because of community partners like you!

Thank you to the folks at Chem-Gro for allowing us to use their picnic tables year after year. Many great conversations are had and memories made around those tables at multiple events each year. Thanks to Chem Gro Inc for being a great community partner and supporter of Hancock County 4-H!

Thanks to Blue Line Pressure Washing for another great addition to the 2026 4-H Fair. This cooling station was used by lots of folks for a quick cooldown during a super hot week on the fairgrounds. Thank you for your support, Blue Line Pressure Washing!

If you enjoyed the convenience of the restroom trailer at the 2026 4-H Fair, you have WIEC and MK Electrical to thank. WIEC improved the electrical infrastructure on the fairgrounds and Mat Kissinger of MK Electrical did the hands-on work to bring the service right to where we needed it. We hope to bring this feature back to next year's fair!
