NAWCC Ozark Chapter 57

NAWCC Ozark Chapter 57 Ozark Chapter 57 of the National Association of Watch & Clock Collectors. Our membership reaches as far as Tulsa, OK and Kansas City, MO.

Chartered on July 15, 1967, Ozark Chapter 57 was formed to serve horological enthusiasts in southwest Missouri, northwest Arkansas, northeast Oklahoma and southeast Kansas. Listed as a Missouri Chapter, our official address in Carthage, MO. Ozark Chapter 57 is part of the MKOA Group. Other chapters in the MKOA are Sooner Time Collectors Chapter 74, Oklahoma City, OK; Razorback Chapter 62, Arkansas

; and Sunflower Clock Watchers Chapter 63, Wichita, KS. The MKOA Group hosts an annual NAWCC regional rotating between the four chapters. The MKOA Regional when hosted by Ozark Chapter 57 has been held in Carthage, MO since the 1997 regional. In June 2008, Ozark Chapter 57 had the great pleasure of hosting the NAWCC National Convention in Springfield, MO.

It is with a very heavy heart that we have to inform you that long time Chapter 57 member Georgie Dupriest has passed away today. She and Jackie had both been diagnosed with Covid and she was admitted to the ICU and placed on a ventilator. Georgie was a dedicated NAWCC member and an invaluable asset to Chapter 57. She will be dearly missed. Please keep Jackie and the entire DuPriest family in your thoughts and prayers. We will relay any service details once they become available.

Ok folks, we are coming down to the wire! The 2021 MKOA Regional starts next Thursday, September 16th. If you haven’t registered yet, there’s still time to get them in and avoid the hassle of registering at door! Registration starts at 3:00 pm. You can pickup your badge/packet starting then. The Mart room opens and table setup begins at 4:00 pm. Hope to see you all there!

The Overton family would like to thank everyone who attended the meeting for coming. We hope everyone had a great time! An extra thank you to all who helped with setup and clean-up. We couldn't have done it without you!

DON'T FORGET!!!
Our Chapter meeting is this Saturday and is being held at Hugh and Ruth Overton's home in Carthage, MO. The festivities will being at 11:30. We will have an outdoor "mini-mart" and will be followed by a potluck lunch. So bring a dish and your significant other! See you there!
