STACKING UP SUPPORT FOR OUR NEW LIBRARY
Carthage Public Library is working to raise money for furnishings and shelving for the new Library building. The goal is to raise $100,000 by the end of February.
They are stacking up ways to give:

Gift Basket Raffle: Purchase tickets for the Friends raffle by Dec. 18.

Giving Tree: For donations of $50 or more, add a paper ornament to the Christmas tree - you may decorate the ornament and include your name if you wish. Help to fill the tree with ornaments and the new library with shelving and furnishings.

Charitable donations: The Carthage District Library Foundation is a 501(c)(3).

Mail checks to the Carthage Public Library, 500 Wabash Ave., Carthage, IL 62321.

SUCCESS!! - We've reached Level 10. After my post yesterday, we received additional donations and met the goal. The total amount raised was $10,050!! Thank you to everyone who helped with this summer fundraising initiative.

Update - thanks to a $500 donation we received today, we now only need $85 more to reach Level 10 and our $10,000 Level Up Your Giving goal. This initiative was in conjunction with the summer reading program, and we'd like to reach our goal by the end of August. Can you help?

The "Level Up Your Giving" fundraiser has reached the 8th level with a total of $8,625! Only $1,375 to go to reach the 10th level in our summer campaign! THANK YOU!!

To coordinate with our Summer Reading Program Theme, we are running a "Level Up Your Giving to Furnish the Dream" campaign. We advance one level for each $1000 donated with a goal of $10,000 by the end of August. Currently we've raised $4,100.

If you're planning to purchase an engraved brick or paver, be sure to turn in the money and the form by July 15. Forms can be sent via email to [email protected]

WE DID IT! We received $50,127.54 in donations for the Launching Our Dream Campaign, and received the $30,000 in matching funds! All 50 balloons have been painted in! THANK YOU!!! We appreciate your support!

Please join us for the groundbreaking ceremony on Tuesday, April 15 at 6:00 pm at the building site on the corner of First and Center Streets. Bring a shovel (or garden trowel) so you can participate.

Future fundraising efforts will focus on raising money for new shelving and furnishings.

We only need $2,283 more to meet our $50,000 Launching our Dream Goal. This will let us paint in the rest of the balloons, but more importantly we will receive the $30,000 match from a generous donor!

The Carthage Middle School Builders Club presented us with a check for $300 toward our new library building. Many thanks to these students and their sponsor, Amy Shirey, for their hard work and generosity.

This brings the total amount raised during the Launching Our Dream campaign to $45,817! Only $4,183 away from our $50,000 goal!
