Wow. What an amazing night.
The Community Achievement Event is more than just a night of honoring our scholarship recipients, it’s a night where we can truly see what the impact of 43 years of service to the community looks like.
We had the privilege of awarding 195 scholarships to hardworking Bartow County students. Of course, these scholarships would not have been possible without the generosity of families who created legacy gifts, those who support scholarships annually, and the local businesses and community partners who continue to believe in our mission of providing hope and opportunity to students and families throughout our community.
During the event, Zach Pritchard from Pritchard Injury Firm reminded us that investing in local non-profits is really an investment in the future of the community itself. When people choose to support organizations like the Etowah Foundation, they’re helping create opportunities that strengthen families, support students, and open doors that may have otherwise remained closed. Through the Pritchard Community Match Challenge, every gift made to the Foundation is amplified— turning individual generosity into an even greater collective impact for scholarships, Future Centers, and literacy initiatives throughout our community.
Finally, from receiving our scholarships in the early 2000s to receiving the 2026 Heart of Gold Award, Dr. Alan and Carrie Barnes have created, maintained, and nurtured a legacy of love and community service. Their dedication to the people of Cartersville, Bartow County and the Foundation has been steadfast and unwavering. There was no better match for this award than these two amazing individuals.
Every scholarship awarded represents more than financial support. It represents encouragement, belief, opportunity, and a community choosing to invest in the next generation. We are incredibly proud of this year’s recipients and deeply grateful to everyone who helps make these moments possible.
