Our Story
The Safe Kids Bartow County Coalition was initiated in 2015 to help reduce childhood deaths and unintentional injures in Bartow County. Coalition members come together to provide education and safety resources throughout the community that promote safety awareness and safe practices with the common goal of preventing accidental childhood injuries.
The coalition was relaunched in October of 2018 when Metro Atlanta Ambulance Service assumed the role as lead agency. The SK Bartow County advisory council consist of the following partner agencies: Bartow Sheriff’s Office, Georgia Department of Public Health Occupant Safety Program, City of Cartersville Fire, Georgia Department of Natural Resources, Georgia State Patrol and the following City Police Departments: Adairsville, Cartersville, Emerson, and Euharlee. The SK Bartow County Coalition is supported by Safe Kids Worldwide, Safe Kids Georgia, Bartow County Government and local corporate sponsors: Metro Atlanta Ambulance Service, Tow Boat US Lake Allatoona and the EMS Superstore.
