🎉 MEET OUR VERY FIRST VOLUNTEER! ❤️

She’s only 16, but she’s already making a difference in our community! 🙌

She’s a member of the Carson City Sheriff’s Office Cadet Program, participates in therapeutic equestrian riding, AND she’s an Ambassador Girl Scout! the highest level in Girl Scouts! She’s been a Girl Scout since kindergarten! 💪💕

After helping with her cadet duties on Nevada Day morning, she’ll be joining us at the Kids Market & Adventure Zone to put her creativity to work face painting! 🎨🎃

Have a teenager who wants to get involved? We’d LOVE to have them! DM me for details. We’ll be hosting more volunteer sign-up opportunities as Nevada Day gets closer!

Let’s give our local teens a chance to shine! 🌟

📜 132 YEARS AGO, THIS WAS NEWS. TODAY, IT’S HISTORY.

A huge THANK YOU to Bob for adding this incredible piece to the Nevada Day Time Capsule! 📦❤️

This 1884 souvenir program looks back at Nevada becoming the 36th state, with Abraham Lincoln’s statehood proclamation preserved right on the page.

Think about that.

Someone saved this piece of paper 142 years ago, and now we get to hold a piece of their world in our hands.

So here’s the question: What do YOU have that belongs in the Time Capsule?

📸 Old photos
📰 Newspaper clippings
✉️ Letters & postcards
🏜️ Nevada memories
🔑 Family treasures
📖 Stories worth remembering

Don’t let your history disappear in a box in the attic.

👇 SHOW US WHAT YOU’VE GOT.
Tag someone who has a piece of Nevada history to add!

Let’s fill the Time Capsule with the stories future generations will wish they could see. ⏳📦
