Unfortunately, we have just learned that the Carson City Railroad Association will be unable to operate the train this year. The train needs new wheels at a cost of more than $36,000, making it impossible for the association to complete the necessary work in time for this year’s event.

We are heartbroken for the CCRA, Wild Horse Children’s Theater, and everyone in our community who looks forward to this special tradition. The Halloween Train is also an important annual fundraiser for WHCT, helping us provide theater opportunities, scholarships, costumes, sets, and accessible performances for young people in our community.

If you would like to help, please consider making a donation:

• Donate to Wild Horse Children’s Theater to support our youth theater programs: https://whproductions.ludus.com/donate

Donate to the Carson City Train Association to help get the train back on track: Please send donations in the form of a check or money order to:
CARSON CITY RAILROAD ASSOCIATION (CCRA)
P.O. BOX 2245
Carson City, NV 89702

Every gift, no matter the amount, will make a difference.

We are incredibly grateful for those of you who had volunteered to be part of this year’s event and to our community for supporting Wild Horse Children’s Theater and the CCRA for the past 10 years! We hope the train will be rolling again in 2027 and that you will join us when the Enchanted Halloween Express returns!

With appreciation,
The Wild Horse Team
