The Unitarian Universalist Association welcomes a federal court decision allowing a multifaith lawsuit challenging immigration enforcement policies at houses of worship to move forward.

As threats to religious freedom and the sanctity of our places of worship continue, the UUA remains committed to protecting the rights of people of faith.

For Greta Gerwig, Unitarian Universalism has long been a place where questions, uncertainty, and different perspectives are welcome.

As the acclaimed filmmaker prepares to bring “The Chronicles of Narnia” to the screen in 2027, we're revisiting a 2013 UU World interview about how her UU upbringing has shaped her life and creative work.

Gerwig reflects on the openness of UU community, the freedom to explore faith without having all the answers, and what keeps drawing her back.

Halloween is traditionally a time when the line between the living and the passed-on is the thinnest. At least, it is the time of year when the leaves are falling, the weather is turning colder, and we may feel a need to remember loved ones no longer with us. Join the UU Grief and Growth Circle if this resonates with you. Keeping our loved ones alive by telling their stories helps us on our individual journeys. And the warmth of others who have been on similar stories encourages us. We will meet on Wed., October 21 from 10-11:30 in the UU Fireplace Room. We will also meet on another date at another venue for a brown bag lunch to strengthen our friendships. Call or text Sharon Miller at 831-601-0403 for more information. We will greet you with open arms.

Seeds for Liberation (Matthew Solomon, 2026, 92 min, USA & Palestine)

This award-winning documentary centers Palestinian voices and experiences, linking the Free Palestine movement with Black, Chicano, and other collective liberation struggles—bridging Gaza to Stop Cop City—and culminating in a shared vision of what true liberation means. The film spans decades of solidarity and shows how the fight for collective liberation is interconnected.

Proceeds support courageous filmmakers and Palestinian families.

Today, on National Coming Out Day, we celebrate the courage, joy, and authenticity of LGBTQIA+ people who are coming out, whether for the first time, in a new space, or in new ways throughout their lives. 🏳️‍🌈🏳️‍⚧️

Coming out is not always a single moment. It can be a lifelong journey of discovering, embracing, and sharing who we are. For some, it is joyful and liberating. For others, it comes with uncertainty, vulnerability, or risk. Every journey is different, and everyone deserves the freedom to choose if, when, and how they come out.

As Unitarian Universalists, we affirm the inherent worthiness of every person and our shared responsibility to create communities where LGBTQIA+ people are not simply welcomed, but fully celebrated, supported, and loved.

To everyone coming out, wherever you are in your journey:

You are worthy of love and belonging, exactly as you are.Your identity is yours to share on your own terms.

May we continue building a world where living authentically is met with love, dignity, and safety.
